We’ll give you an advice session in which we’ll find out what you’ like to do, and the best way to go about it. We have a very high success rate in finding jobs for people, so we’re confident that whatever your circumstances, we can help you. Do I need an appointment to see an advisor, or can I just drop in?You can drop in to Cavendish Mill any time to look for jobs or get general information. If you want to speak to an advisor, then it’s best to make an appointment. You can do this in person or by calling Jason on 0161 214 8470. For the latest information, go to the news and events section of our website When can I see a Citizens Advice Bureau advisor?If you drop in to Cavendish Mill on Mondays any time between 9am and 4pm, you can see a CAB advisor on a first come first served basis. We also offer appointments with an advisor on Tuesdays between 9am and 4pm. Some of the courses are computer-based, and others follow a more traditional classroom format. The Fire Service are also on hand to provide fire safety advice, and give demonstrations. What is ESOL?ESOL stands for ‘English for Speakers of Other Languages’. It’s a course which helps people who don’t speak English as their first language to improve their English. Different courses are aimed at different levels of English, so you can find a course which is right for you. We run a very informal Speakeasy drop in session at The Portland Centre on Fridays between 9.30am and 11.30am.
