What is Safeguard It?

Safeguard It aims to improve community safety in those areas of Tameside which are most at risk from accidental fires, arson and other crime. We are developing a range of safety and security services which meet the needs of the local community. We also provide volunteering and employment opportunities for local people. Safeguard It operates as a social enterprise, or ‘not-for-profit’ business, which means that any profits are reinvested in the service.

Safeguard It is funded by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, the European Regional Development Fund, Working Neighbourhoods Fund, and commercial trading activities.
